These terms explain how renting a car from Maraheb Rent a Car works. When you rent, you also sign a rental agreement at pickup. If anything here is different from your signed agreement, the agreement applies.
1. Booking requests
A request sent through this website or WhatsApp is not yet a booking. Your booking is confirmed only when we confirm availability and the price, and the rental agreement is signed.
Cars are shown as an example of each model (“or similar”). The exact car, colour and year depend on availability.
2. Driver requirements
UAE residents need a valid Emirates ID and a valid UAE driving licence. Visitors need a passport with a valid entry stamp or visa, a driving licence from their home country and, where required, an International Driving Permit.
Minimum age and licence-history rules apply and are confirmed with your booking. Only drivers named in the rental agreement may drive the car.
3. Prices and payment
Prices depend on the car, dates and rental period and are confirmed with you before pickup. Payment is made at pickup or as agreed with us.
4. Security deposit
A refundable security deposit is taken at pickup. It is returned after the car comes back, minus any traffic fines, tolls, damage, missing fuel or other charges in the rental agreement. Card refunds can take some days depending on your bank.
5. Using the car
Follow UAE traffic law at all times. The car may not be used for racing, off-road driving, carrying goods for hire, towing, or by anyone not named in the agreement, and may not be sublet. Smoking in the car is not allowed.
The car may only leave the UAE (for example to Oman) with our written approval and the right insurance.
6. Fuel, tolls and fines
Return the car with the same fuel level you received it with; missing fuel is charged. Salik and Darb toll charges are added at cost.
Traffic fines, black points and impound charges during the rental are the renter’s responsibility, plus any admin fee stated in the agreement.
7. Insurance and accidents
Our cars are insured as required by UAE law. In any accident, call the police (999) and us straight away and get a police report. Without a police report the renter may have to pay for the full damage. Any excess or extra cover is set out in the rental agreement.
8. Return, late return and extensions
Return the car at the agreed time and place. A late return may be charged as an extra day. To extend, message us before your return date; extensions depend on availability.
9. Delivery and collection
Delivery and collection times are approximate. Any delivery fee is confirmed before your booking.
10. Cancellations
Please tell us as early as possible if your plans change. Cancellation terms, if any, are confirmed with your booking.
11. Liability
We are not responsible for personal items left in the car, or for delays caused by events outside our control.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
